October 9, 1971 – August 7, 2013
Imke passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 41 years of age. Predeceased by her father Karl, Imke is lovingly remembered by her husband Derrick Zell and his family, her mother Irmgard Borchert, brother; Sven Borchert, nephew;Lennart Borchert, as well as a circle of other relatives, friends, and colleagues at Clear Stream Energy Services.
Imke was born October 9, 1971 in Hamburg, Germany and came to Canada in 1982 with her family. She attended high school in Edmonton until 1985 when the family moved to Palto Alto, California where she finished high school before moving back to Germany where she learned the hotel business and moved back to Edmonton.
Imke got a job at Woody’s R.V. World in Springbank and in 2003 she met Derrick and came to Cochrane where they shared their lives together. She loved her animals especially horses.
A private celebration of Imke’s life will be held at a later date.
