In Loving Memory of:

Brayden James Proctor

Aug 28, 1994 – Aug 18, 2020

Born August 28, 1994 in Ft Nelson, BC to proud parents Kent & Jennifer Proctor. Brayden is survived by his grandparents; Ernie & Maxine Kemsley, Galin & Bobbi Proctor, parents; Kent and Jennifer (Kemsley) siblings; Karissa & Sean, Uncles; Jim (Sheree), Troy (Sandy), and Jaydee (Melissa), Aunt; Lesley (Jason) and cousins; Jacqueline, Lauren, Chace & Kaleb. Brayden is predeceased by grandparents; Verna & Barry Gibson.

Brayden spent his early years growing up in Ft Nelson, BC surrounded by lots of family & nature. Brayden became obsessed with fishing at an early age & could often be found casting his rod in a snowy back yard! He also loved water & would strip down at any chance & jump in, no matter how cold, whether it be a kiddie pool, lake or ocean! In 2002 the family moved to Ft Saskatchewan, AB.

Brayden loved sports from an early age as well. He played T-ball, gymnastics, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, badminton, rugby and football and has remained active as an adult.  Brayden was loved by coaches for great heart and determination.

Brayden graduated from Fort Saskatchewan High School in 2012, with the support of family traveling from near and far. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in International business at Macewan University in Edmonton.

After a couple of visits to Germany as a teen, he returned to Germany a third time for a semester studying abroad.  He had become proficient in the German language after studying it in highschool, university and spending several months there.  After graduation, Brayden quickly established a successful career in sales, before resigning to hit the road again in 2018.  He loved to travel.  He loved to experience new culture and new cuisine.  He traveled across Eastern Canada and the UK connecting with old friends overseas whenever possible.

He then returned to Alberta to be with family and began his banking career with ATB Financial.  He quickly purchased his first home and renovated his cozy condo in downtown Calgary, to his standards.  He took pride in his new home and it’s appearance and decorating, like he did in his wardrobe, always dressing for success.

Brayden was a loyal and supportive friend with a big heart, and so proud of his friends and family member’s achievements.  Always looking to bring friends and family together and build memories.  As a best man, or in a wedding party overseas, attending performances, fundraisers, often helping with organizing or volunteering.

He was self-less and volunteered a great deal.  For political campaigns, business and entrepreneur team competitions, charities, and coaching sports like hockey and lacrosse.

He loved his family & was the catalyst for events to be together in new and interesting places.  A terrific conversationalist, he could talk for hours about sports, politics, finance, current events, culture, religion or geography.  Always engaging and thought provoking.

He was incredibly proud of his younger siblings Karissa & Sean, never wanting to miss an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments. Brayden loved to be outside enjoying nature by visiting his parents in the Shuswap & hiking in Kananaskis.

Brayden made the world a better place for his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
