Louise Davison (nee Norman) of Cochrane Alberta, peacefully passed away at aged 50 on 11
th
June 2022, surrounded by her loved ones, after a difficult battle with cancer.
Louise was born on 28
th
April 1972 to Patricia (Pat) and Charles Norman in the town of Middlesbrough, UK. The youngest of 3 children, Louise grew up with a loving extended family around her. After Louise graduated from Gillbrook School in 1988, she began work in local government, a vocation she hugely enjoyed and pursued for the majority of her working life.
In 1990, Louise met Neil Davison at work, and they soon became inseparable. Louise and Neil married in 1993 in the Dominican Republic and went on to have 2 sons, Sam (1997) and Ben (2000), upon whom she doted on.
In 2006, Louise, Neil, Sam and Ben began an adventure overseas, emigrating from the UK to Cochrane Alberta, a place she called home until her passing.
Louise is survived by her husband Neil and her two sons, Sam and Ben; her father Charles; sister Caron; brother Simon; as well as many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Pat.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Louise. She loved a quiet evening with friends and a glass of vodka and diet coke in hand. She loved her beach vacations and the sun in general and had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities, particularly clothes shopping. Her ability to smile, even while going through her numerous treatments, was inspiring.
Louise loved unconditionally and was loved unconditionally, and her memory will be cherished forever.
A private celebration of Louise’s life will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
