Jamie Ann Irvine peacefully moved beyond this mortal world on September 02, 2015 at Bethany Cochrane.
Jamie was born in Calgary on July 27, 1951 and resided in Irvine Alberta, Medicine Hat and Calgary.
Jamie leaves to mourn her passing 3 siblings : Shannon (Carl), James (Renee), Mark (Lori). There was a special love in Jamie’s heart for her five nieces: Jody, Melanie, Kayleigh, Karli, and Megan, and 1 nephew Dane, as well as for her two great nephews Zachary and Aiden.
Jamie’s journey through this vale of tears was challenging and at times beyond understanding, but to the very end Jamie displayed and epitomized Hemmingway’s “grace under fire”. Jamie had the heart of a gladiator, the inner strength of an Olympian and an unshakeable belief that we all walk with God and are therefore never alone.
Jamie had an amazing capacity to love which she gave unconditionally to everyone who entered her life…she was very easy to love and touched people’s lives deeply and in the most meaningful ways. She never lost her capacity to love and she retained her humanity even in her darkest moments.
Jamie’s family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all the kind, wonderful and amazing staff members at Bethany Cochrane who danced with Jamie, who laughed with Jamie, who
in essence became her family and loved her as only family can–you are truly amazing human beings—thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Jamie’s family would also like to thank Dr. John Naylor for his many years of caring for Jamie with kindness, respect and understanding—you were her lifeline during many difficult times.
A special thank you to Dr. Roy Andrassy who also, for many years, cared for Jamie with amazing kindness, caring and respect.
A Celebration of Jamie’s Life will be held on Monday, September 07, 2015 at the Bethany Care Center, ( 302 Quigley Dr, Cochrane, AB. ) in the Chapel, at 1:00 pm. Please join the family for refreshments in McQuitty Hall, Bethany Cochrane after the celebration.
