Owen William George

With shattered hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Owen George, who left us far too soon on May 31st, 2025, at the age of 21.

Owen was known for his vibrant energy, kind heart and love for life. He was an athlete through and through, passionate about hockey and most importantly lacrosse. He brought the same spirit and dedication to everything he did. Whether he was in the mechanic shop, rink, field, outdoors, or on the dance floor, he moved with joy and purpose. And always with his trademark ear-to-ear grin.

He cherished his family deeply. Always there to help and give the best hugs. His smile would cure any bad mood. Friends were family to Owen (especially his best friend Owen). His laughter, warmth and infectious smile left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He will be remembered not only for the joy he brought but for the way he lived — fully, freely, and with love.

Keep dancing sweet boy!

Owen is survived by his mom and dad, Craig and Angela, little sister Ryann, grandparents (Eric and Diane George & Jack and Karen Grant), Uncle Rob & Aunt Lori and cousin Henri, and Uncle Ian and cousins Aidan, Maggie & Janie.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Owen’s name to the charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held for Owen George and Owen Yuers at Spray Lakes Event Centre (800 Griffin Rd E, Cochrane) on Friday, June 13 at 1:00pm. The families request that you carpool to the extent you are able.
