Stephen “Blair” Thorne

May 25, 1964 to September 19, 2023

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Blair at the age of 59, he went peacefully with his loving wife Marnie by his side.

Blair and Marnie met in Prince George 34 years ago and moved to Kamloops where they were married in 1993 and welcomed their daughter Alex in 1995. Alex was Blair’s forever little girl who he loved dearly and was so proud of.  In 2006 they moved to Cochrane AB where he continued his Glazing career, which he finished with Evolution Glass. Blair was a mentor and respected by all in the work place.

Always happy when surrounded by those he loved, traveling, boating, but was most content when riding his Harley with his buddies or Marnie on the back or by his side.

Survived by his wife and best friend Marnie, daughter Alex (Cody D), mother Midge, his brother Joe (Cyndi), nephews Randy (Shanon), great niece and nephew Olivia & Hunter, Nic (Echo), great nieces Aurora and Briar, brother in law Darin (Mary), niece Crystal (Dave), great nephew Luke, nephew Davis (Emily), great nephew Jack, niece Sophie, sister in law Jody (Rob) niece Christen and nephew Scott. He was predeceased by his father Jerry Thorne, stepdad Clem Bedard, in-law’s Jack and Vivian Koleman.

Family and friends truly meant a lot to Blair, and he will be missed by one and all. His easy going nature and generosity were a beacon that drew many people into his life. He made a huge impression on everyone whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Blair at the Cochrane Legion (114 Fifth Ave) Sunday October 22, 2023, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
