Passed away peacefully on Thursday April 7, 2011 at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane. Alberta was raised in Dand, Manitoba and Alida, Saskatchewan. She met and married James (Bud) Stroud in Manitoba, following the war they farmed near Deloraine, Manitoba. Alberta also worked as a nurses aide for many years in Brandon, Manitoba and retired to an acreage near Millarville, Alberta in 1976. She moved to Calgary in 1998 until 2010, when she moved to the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane. Pre-deceased by her husband Bud and daughter Joyce. Lovingly remembered by her children Honourable A. Gail Vickery (Bill Olsen), Carol (Elgin) Tees and Ronald Stroud, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1736 – 10 Ave. S.W. Calgary, Alberta on Friday April 15, 2011 at 3:00PM.
