We say goodbye to our beloved mother who passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mom was a genuine, sweet, simple, loving soul. To know her was to love her – a kind caring, thoughtful, true friend to all. Lily grew up on a farm in Standard. There she met the love of her life, Don, and they had 63 cherished years together. They raised 6 children on the farm in High River, later moving to Water Valley where they spent the last 40. Lily was active in the Lutheran Church. Her greatest accomplishments are her kids, her cherished grand children, and great grand children. They all have special grandma memories to carry forward through their lives. A celebration of Lily’s life will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, George Fox trail & Hwy 22, on Friday, November 4th, at 1:00 pm. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Lily’s memory may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 43015 George fox Trail, Cochrane, Alberta, T4C 2E6.
